Merger TV and
FC Aidenbach
It all started in the 19th century with Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, known as Turnvater Jahn. As in the whole country, the initiator of the German gymnastics movement sparked enthusiasm for sport. It wasn't long before the gymnastics club was founded in Aidenbach in 1884. From then on, numerous competitions were contested and titles won. When sports came to mind again after the First World War, football was also a priority, alongside gymnastics. Finally, an independent football club was founded in 1920. In the course of the tendencies towards unification in the Third Reich, the sports clubs of FC and TV Aidenbach merged in 1938 in order to use the chronicler's wording “a new era in sports terms, to start a new successful work ". The proposal of both parties, now a joint gymnastics u. Founding a sports club was unanimously approved at a general assembly. As it had been a good two decades earlier, the beginning of the war in 1939 again made the association quiet. It took a few years for the local activities to renew.
The following decades were marked by many successful sporting events. In addition to sport, theater was also played, such as when TSV Aidenbach first performed the play "Die vom Reschendobl" in 1953.
Gym construction 1960
The construction of the gymnasium in 1961 was a milestone for the market town and thus also for the club. The building is still used today as a club house with the sports facility created in 1986.,
